Pressure cooker is used to shorten the cooking time and reduce the wastage of all minerals and ingredients than traditional method of boiling and cooking. Cooking in pressure cooker is also a time saving way. Another benefit of pressure cooker is that you kitchen remains clean and organized for cooking in sealed and covered pot. Pressure cooker offers lots of other benefits in cooking but you must be aware of some safety techniques while cooking in pressure cooker.

Pressure Cooker Safety Tips

In order to have good sealing, you must check the rubber ring of pressure cooker regularly.

Check the valves of pressure cooker before every use whether they are trapped with food particles or dirt.

Avoid deep frying in pressure cooker under frying.

Never use excessive oil or fat because pressure cooker does not produce more steam to cook.

Always use liquid stuff like water, stock and milk.

Keep attending pressure cooker during time set for cooking particular food item like meat, grams, beans or vegetables.

Once pressure has been achieved, low the flame and continue cooking.

Use all the valves of pressure cooker that are available for releasing steam.
