Fish Cutlets


  • Fish ½ kg
  • Bread slice 1
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Ginger paste 1 tsp
  • Bread crumbs 1 cup
  • Egg 1
  • Green chilies 2-3
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Garm masala powder 1 tsp
  • Corn flour 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves 1 bunch
  • Cooking oil for frying


  • Rub fish with turmeric powder and salt and wash after 5 minutes.
  • Steam fish over pan of hot water.
  • Separate the bones and mash with hands.
  • Soak bread slices in water and squeeze.
  • Add all other ingredients except cooking oil and egg in fish meat and make a smooth mixture.
  • Make small balls and flatten them.
  • Dip in egg and deep fry in cooking oil.
  • Serve hot with green chilies.

Spicy Baked Fish


  • Finn white fish 1 kg
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Ajwain 1 pinch
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Garm masala 1 tsp
  • Chat masala 1 tsp


  • Wash and dry fish finely.
  • Cut fish into 1 inch cubes.
  • Rub the fish pieces with lemon juice and salt and keep for half hour.
  • Combine all other ingredients in a bowl.
  • Coat the fish pieces in spice paste.
  • Take a greased baking tray and put fish pieces in it.
  • Bake in oven at 180C for 30-35 minutes.
  • Turn the fish pieces 15 minutes before cooking time complete.
  • Bast with oil and cook further.
  • Dish out in serving dish.
  • Sprinkle chat masala on it and garnish with lemon slices.

Fried Fish


  • Fish 900 grams
  • Gram flour (Besan) 1 cup
  • Green chili chopped 1
  • Turmeric Powder ½ tbsp
  • Fresh bread crumbs 3 tbsp
  • Red chili powder ½ tbsp
  • Black pepper powder ½ tbsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves 3 tbsp
  • Water 2 cup

For Garnishing:

Lemon and tomatoes sliced

Method to Make Fried Fish:

Rub the turmeric powder and salt over fish after washing and cutting into pieces and set aside for 15-20 minutes. Rinse the fish under tap water. Take a bowl and mix gram flour, bread crumbs, salt, chili & pepper powder, green chili, coriander and water and make a smooth paste. Heat cooking oil and coat the pieces of fish in the paste and deep fry them on low heat for 8-10 minutes until golden from both sides. Garnish the fish with sliced lemons and tomatoes and serve with ketchup.
