How to Treat Common Cold

Common cold is type of viral infection and occurs more often than any other disease. It lasts from 3 to 10 days and sometimes become dangerous for throat and causes many other diseases of throat. To better cure this disease I have collected some home tips and tricks for you. These tips include:

  • Add juice of one lime and 1 tbsp honey in 1 glass of warm water and drink it. It will give relief from throat pain and dry cough.
  • Garlic is best antiseptic and it should be used several times a day for treatment of throat and common cold.
  • Make ginger tea by boiling it in water and drink hot after mixing half tsp sugar in it.
  • Putting rubber bottles of hot water on chest and back will give relief in case of chest and head cold.
  • Hot water bath is also very beneficial if you have suffered from common cold.
  • Eating fruits and vegetables enriched with vitamin C will better treat you in case of common cold.
  • Eating raw garlic will also give relief to painful and swallowed throat.
  • Take steam of hot water after mixing some Vicks vapor in it. It will open your blocked nose and you will feel better in breathing.
  • Mix 1 tsp of fresh turmeric powder in hot milk and drink two times a day.
  • Onion juice is also better to liquefy phlegm and make your nose runny.

All these tips are very effective in treating common cold if they are applied regularly.
